I cleaned the data, I tried to minimize the anomalies in the data and re-generated the GPCCHEM tool report.

Hey Trezen,

I noticed that the voltage at the end of discharge dropped all the way down 0V. This should not be happening? Is there a secondary protection being triggered?

Hello Nick,

This is a device on which I have charger [bq25601] and fuel gauge [bq27z561]. I have connected the I2C of fuel gauge to communicate with the BQSTUDIO.

There is a low voltage configuration at 3.0V in the charger. After which to avoid battery damage the charger cut off and switch to an external power source which in our case is not connected. We can see the discharging current to zero and also voltage zero.

There is no other secondary protection apart from this.

Is there a way to configure the charger to not cut off voltage once it reaches 3.0V just for this test. Or possibly lower the configured voltage to 2.9V?

Hey Nick,

Why to configure the charger to cut off at 2.9V? We can see logs up to battery voltage falling all the way to 2751mV, after which the battery is not available to power the fuel gauge IC, cutting off the I2C communication to the BQstudio.

I do not think my system setup can still monitor the logs below this point.

Hey Trezen,

I want the charger to be configured to cut off at 2.9V because for this test. The discharge should stop at 3V since this is the terminate voltage of the battery. This way, when the discharge stops at 3V, the charger connect won't cut off the voltage. For this test to complete successfully, we can not have the log file showing 0V after the discharge.
