Tool/software:
There are two package outlines in the latest datasheet of BQ79606A-Q1, i.e. PHP0048G and PHP0048N.
Could you explain what's the difference?
Do I need to distinguish them during layout designing and ordering?

Hi Xiaoling,
We have two leadframes on this device PHP0048G and PHP0048N. one is a narrow strip LF and the other is a wide strip LF. Technically both leadframes should have identical dimensions, but for some reason one of them showed a different exposed pad dimension which is highlighted with the yellow highlight. This discrepancy has been sent to our team and will be updated to be identical.
Regards,
David
Hi David,
Which device is the narrow strip LF and which is the wide one?
Is there any difference on technical performance but not only the dimension?
Do we need to distinguish the two leadframes when ordering the chip?

Xiaojing
Hi Xiaojing,
PHP0048G has been removed and PHP0048N is the correct package outline.

David
Hi Xiaojing,
For the BQ79606, PHP0048N and PHP0048G are identical and offer no additional technical performance over each other.

David
