BQ24650: Two thermistors

Part Number: BQ24650

Tool/software:

Customer enquiry.

I want to connect two lithium-ion batteries in parallel to the output of a BQ24650RVAR for charging.
In this case, I would like to connect two lithium-ion battery thermistors to the TS terminals to monitor the temperature of both batteries.
Is there a recommended circuit?
Or, if there is a way to handle this by changing to a different charging IC, could you please introduce it to us?

Regards,
Kagawa

  • Hello Yoshinobu,

No the charger is not able to monitor the thermistor of both battery.

You might be able to accomplish by using a fuel gauge, I do not support fuel gauges, so I can't provide an accurate answer. I recommend posting a new question asking for a gauge that can support two thermistors.

    Best Regards,

    Christian.
