TPS62160: how low-side current limit works at load is short

Part Number: TPS62160

Tool/software:

Hello,

When load is short, after high-side FET gets OFF, the low-side FET also gets OFF or it keeps ON with 1.2A low-side current limit?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Sir,

When load is short, the high-side FET is turned off. Then the low-side FET is switched on to allow the inductor current to decrease.

When current in the low-side FET decreases below the low-side current limit threshold of typically 1.2 A, the high-side FET can turn on again.

    Thanks

    Colin
