LM5021: 50% max duty cycle for Two Transistor forward

Hi,

We are using the LM5021-2 for a two transistor forward. Do you think this is OK? At startup and overload, the thing will obviously  go into 50% duty cycle, and  if there is tolerance such that max duty cycle is actually 51%, then it will staircase saturate. So can you garantee that LM5021-2  is definetely no more than 50.0% duty cycle?

    Hi,

    The device typical Dmax is 50%, so the datasheet does not guarantee max Dmax not exceeding 50%.

    You can consider other devices such UCC28C41, UCC28C44, or UCC28C45, these devices max Dmax guarantee not exceeding 50%.
