We do not have any transient thermal information or simulation model for the TPS1HTC30, however based on our thermal calculations and testing, we specify the continuous load current under the following conditions to be able to support 6A typical.

Continuos is not suficcient.

Apologies for the confusion. I am personally not aware of what would be sent over as I do not see the thermal model from my side, but I have reached out to Tim who originally replied to the referenced post and should hear back from him early next week (he is out of office at the moment, but still on the team!)
