BQ35100: Calibration

Part Number: BQ35100

Tool/software:

Hi,

From other threads I've determined that BQ35100 isn't factory calibrated, and needs calibrating.

However, it's not clear to me whether a single calibration is sufficient.

Here's my question:

1) Once I have calibrated the BQ35100 on my product PCB, does the data get saved to data flash, and can hence the flash stream file can be used to apply the same calibration to numerous units following mass production?

2) The same question, but rephrased: Does each BQ35100 need individually calibrating following a mass-production run of a product?

Thanks,
Toby

  • Hi Toby,

    1) Technically yes, but we recommend calibrating multiple devices (the more the better) and taking the average.

    2) Ideally calibrating each device individually would be best however, this is not always possible in production.

    Regards,

    Evan
