TPS51200: The EN pin drop to 1.2V

Part Number: TPS51200

Tool/software:

Hi,

We use the TPS51200 for the DDR4 power supplier, and now, we find the EN voltage drop from 3.3V to 1.2V when DDR_VTT Iout current 83mA, so please advise if this is normal?

Our design is Vrefin=Vldoin=1.2V, VDD=3.3V, Vddr_vtt=0.6V, the EN pin connect to VDD pin, thanks.

  • Hi Zhang,

Is your supply for the EN pin being overloaded? If you are using a bench power supply is the current compliance set too low?

EN pin dropping voltage during operation is not normal. I would need to see scope captures of the event to investigate further (VDD, EN, VTT, VLDOIN in one picture).

Also please share the schematic. I can open a private space if necessary.

    Regards,

    James
