I have an EV application where I’d like to replace a battery contactor with a solid state switch. The TPS4811 looks to be great for the job, especially as we will need to precharge the motor controller we have. It’s a 48v system and the only issue I can see at the moment is adding over current protection to it. From my quick calculations the high currents we have may mean the OCP sense resistor has to be in the 10’s of uOhm range (I.e.really small and probably impossible to find). Our current is probably typically around 320 A and I’d like to trip at 350A. Am I correct in thinking that I may not be able to use the TPS4811 in this situation due to this?
