BQ76907EVM: Calibration problem of BQ76907EVM .

Part Number: BQ76907EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, BQ76907, BQ76952

Tool/software:

Hi E2E,

On the calibration page of the BQ76907 in BQSTUDIO, users need to input GAIN and OFFSET. Does this mean that they need to measure the cell voltage and then calculate the values of GAIN and OFFSET themselves?

Is it possible to complete the calibration by simply entering the voltage values, like with the BQ76952?

If not, is there a chance that the BQ76907 could be updated in BQSTUDIO to allow calibration by simply entering the voltage?

Thanks!

  • Hello Tom,

No, the BQ76907 does not have a calibration tab like the BQ76952.

The part will come with default gain and offset values already programmed on the part, so you do not need to calibrate yourself. Our datasheet specifications would still apply in this case.

For BQ76907 calibration, the gain and offset would have to be manually put there, how to obtain these is explained in Section 5.5 Measurement Calibration of the Technical Reference Manual. This is if you want to have the best accuracy by calibrating based on your system.

Let me know if you have any other questions Slight smile.

    Best Regards,
