Tool/software:
Hello, I just did tests at 10V with TPS26600 eval board with the RHF side of the board. I removed J13, J14, J11, J10. I installed J8 and J9. J12 is set to position 1-2 so that 5.36K resistor is used. Testing this configuration it shut off due to over current at 2.22A, just as expected. Then I flipped input polarity so that board was fed -10V. Within three seconds of turning on my power supply complained about short on its output. The load meter connected to the output of eval board complained about reverse polarity for those three seconds. I disconnected input and desoldered D10. There is indeed short across PCB pads where D10 used to be soldered. So it looks like efuse failed and shorted board input because I do not think C8 could do that and there are no other components across input pins.
Datasheet title says there is "reverse input polarity protection". I specially tested with eval board to make sure everything is setup properly regarding RTN and GND. What am I doing wrong?
