About Terminal Processing of TPS659108

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65910

I have a question about TPS659108.

Although I would like to connect PWRHOLD to a high, should it connect with VRTC?

In "TPS659108 User Guide For i.MX508"(SWCU077), it is VIO connection.

However, in "Using the TPS65910 EVM..."(SWCU065E), it is VRTC connection.

Which is right?

Regards,

Sakuma

  • Actually you can connect it at any pin. The main thing to remember is the time when PWRHOLD has to be High in the sequence. Please see figure 4 in the data sheet.

Are you developing schematics with iMX508 + TPS659108?

  • Gandhar - san

    Thank you for the reply.

I'm not developing it. The customer in charge is developing schematics with i.MX508 + TPS659108.

    I have a question about TPS659108.

I received the reply about connection of PWRHOLD last week.
Please let me ask a question again based on a customer's conditions.

Although it is referring to "Figure 4. Device Turn-On/Off...", a customer's specification sets PWRHOLD to High and starts TPS659108.
In that case, VIO rises after PWRHOLD. Should it still think the same way?

In addtion, which is the spec which "The main thing to remember is the time when PWRHOLD has to be High in the sequence. " shows?
    Is it "td32KON + tdbVMBH + tdSONT + tdONVMBHI" ?
