UCC21225A: power dissipation and cooling

Tool/software:

Do you have a good examples of PCB layout to achieve good cooling? This part has high current capability but low power capacity  / high thermal resistance..

Alternatively is there a part with similar function / pinout but higher power capacity?.

    Thank you for your interest in our devices!

    For optimized thermal performance, we recommend increasing the PCB copper connecting to VDDA, VDDB, VSSA, and VSSB pins.

    Refer 11.1 Layout Guidelines of the datasheet, where it talks about PCB layout considerations. 11.2 Layout Example also provides images of sample layouts. 

    We are currently in development of a new isolated dual channel gate driver with high thermal performance that I would recommend looking into: UCC21231
