Hi Team,
My customer found the Vin, Vout and GND are shorted. When they took away the TPS1641, the circuit was normal. Below is the schematic. Could you please check if it has some problems?
BR,
Moon
Hi Moon
did they performed any tests ? or is it time zero fail ?

Rakesh
hi Rakesh,
They gave 24V power to testing board with hot plugging. Then a little spark appeared in F1. Then they took away the chip from board and tested the resistors of pins:
IN to GND: 1Ohm
Out to GND: 1 Ohm
The resistors to GND of other pins are more than 10M Ohm.
BR,
Moon
Hi Moon,
Looks like Vin is going above spec during hot plug test. Can you capture Vin during hot plug test and check

Hi Rakesh,
For their application with hot plugging, is the TPS1641 suitable? They want the function of 50mA current limitation, what's the recommends else for the requirement?
BR,
Moon
Hi Moon,
TPS1641 is suitable for hot-plug applications.
Use 0.1uF at input and TVS diode SMBJ28A in parallel to 0.1uF. These will help to absorb transient voltages and protects TPS1641
