Tool/software:
Hi,
I would like to know the recommended method for disabling the foldback current limit function on this device.
There are two previous posts on the forum about this subject, but these do not detail the implementation of the solution.
In our application, we propose the following two implementations;
Rpcl = 11K (so current limit set at 2.7A approx).
Option 1: If we set Rcs to 200K then the voltage at the CS pin will always be below the 0.5V threshold for all meaningful output currents, hence foldback will be inhibited.
Option 2 : We connect the CS pin to 0V via a 10K resistor, then the CS pin will be at 0V and foldback will always be inhibited.
Please advise which implementation is preferred and if either implementation violates any device parameters or user guidance.
Many thanks, best wishes
Peter Martin
