LM25066A: start up with large Cout, and the insertion delay

Part Number: LM25066A

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Could you pls help with the questions from customer below?

If the output capacitance is huge, say 20000uF or more; what would be the best approach to limit the inrush and at the same time reduce the SOA concern of the MOSFET? Besides controlling prolonging the dv/dt of the output, is there another way?

By the way, since TI made many hotswap controller, does TI have a recommended insertion delay time as well as inrush current time? Understand that this usually depends on application but just wondering whether how other people configure their hotswap.

Regards,
Hailiang
