How can I get HPD status via I2C?

I configure TPS65987D as UFP_D without TBT on the TPS65987EVM.

Even if the GPIO3 input is High, the the value of 0x5F[15] and 0x72[3] are always 0b.

I plan to use TPS65987DDK on my custom board.

But I'm evaluating basic behavior on TPS65987EVM now because I have not gotten my board yet.

Thank you, I'll wait your replying.

For your reference, I attached the TPS65987EVM FW I tested.

I connected TPS65987EVM and a PC which supports DP Alt Mode and I tried connecting 3.3V or GND to HPD pin, but these bits were always 0b.

bit14 of reg 52h is reserved bit. What will this bit affect the TPS65987DDK behavior?

I'd like to use it without supporting TBT.

what is it that you're trying to?

You're taking HPD RX input and at the same time want to see HPD state over reg 5Fh? If that's the case, then its not the correct usage of the feature.
