Problem start sw Fusion Digital Power Designer versione 1.8.95

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9240

Hi team,

I have a little problem during the start-up the GUI "Fusion Digital Power Designer versione 1.8.95".

I work on the evaluation board UCD9240REF (P/N: PR662C S/N: 6052).

When I run the sw Fusion Digital Power Designer versione 1.8.95,   the POD USB card is recognized correctly  in fact the answer is

- Starting scan for SAA #1 from 1-11,13-127
- Found device @ address 49d: ReadByte PMBUS_REVISION [0x98] returned 0x21

- Starting scan for SAA #1 from 1-11,13-127
- Found device @ address 49d: ReadBlock DEVICE_ID [0xFD] returned 0x55434439323430207C322E31362E302E343038367C30373132313100 / UCD9240 |2.16.0.4086|071211

But then the  GUI show me this message

" An error occured while trying to detect a PMBus device. The error was:
   No parameterless constructor defined for this object. at TIDP.PMBus.a9.c(ac A_0, IEnumerable`1 A_1, f A_2) at TIDP.PMBus.a9.c(s A_0) at
TIDP.PMBus.WinForms.Forms.a.i7() Please check your device firmware, power, and USB connection."

 ....and  closes the program

Please , could help me?
Thank you

  •  Hi Team,

this is so that  show me the program at start-up.

    I need to update sw?

    Best Regards

  • It appears that you may have a very old version of firmware (pre-release) on the board that you are trying to operate.

I can provide the local TI representative with the released firmware image and instructions for updating.

  • Actually, given that the last revision of the PR662 board was J and you have a C version, I would have to review the differences between designs to determine if the project file for the latest firmware would be appropriate for this board.

It may be faster and easier for you to acquire the UCD9224EVM.  This board would have the same functionality as the updated PR662 board but would have only two rails instead of four.

Contact your local TI representative to inquire about the UCD9224EVM.
