ev2300 and ev2400 software is where on the vast TI website ???????

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQEVSW

I just got my new EV2400 so I can avoid the 64bit hassle - ( I COULD use the 64Bit driver file from someone for the EV2300 so I don't have to throw it out! )

I can't seem to find where to download the software for my EV2400 Battery Gauge qualification/talky software.

Where/what is the link to that software AND THE NEEDED USB DRIVERS and installation software?

I am using a BQ27505_j5 chip I need to work with.

  • Hi Don,

The EV2400 doesn't require drivers.  You should be able to just plug it in and it will load HID drivers automagically.  Then start your bq27505 EVSW and you should be in business.  Let me know if it doesn't work like that for you.

  • Good evening!

What do I need to do to use BQ20Zxx evaluation software (the latest version I have is 0.9.64) with EV2400 comm. interface?

I previously used Ev2300 for number of projects without any issues.

Recently, I attempted to use EV2300 with 64-bit Windows 7 system, and was not able to do so.

My local TI rep. recommended that I use EV2400 instead of EV2300.

He was under impression that EV2400 is backward compatible and that no special software is required.

Do I need any special, new software to use EV2400?

I am using both BQ Eval software as well as bqTester application for my projects.

Currently, both applications are not working reporting that "EV2300 not found".

    Please help

Please install the EV2400 support components to allow bqEVSW to use EV2400. It is available of EV2400 product page

    http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/sluc291

SMB and I2C work in backward compatible mode. GPIO features are not exactly backward compatible but can be setup to work.

Some software checks the firmware version of EV2300, you will see errors if it expects a certain version, i am not sure if bqTester does that.
