BQ34Z100-R2: Do we have to enable SOH_DISP to obtain SOH estimates?

I noticed under Pack Configuration C that there is a bit to enable for SOH_DISP. I notice 100% SOH the entire time on all the systems we currently have set up and we don't yet have a single one that reports SOH levels below that, so I started getting skeptical. Our systems have been running for a while (using BQ34Z100-R2) and we need to collect reliable battery life information to help estimate future performance and longevity. However, I noticed that this bit is disabled by default on all of the tested units.

Is the state of health (SOH) automatically calculated or do we have to enable it before estimation is started?

Hi Ali,

Soh_disp is for the LED Display. SOH is calculated automatically; it does not need to be enabled.

May I confirm whether the SOH is directly related to the full battery capacity reported? A fresh pack in our system has a capacity of ~6800 mAh, after a full learning cycle was complete. Right at the start, SOH naturally reports 100%. Now if I one day look at SOH and see 95%, does it also mean that the "full capacity" reported should be lower than the initial ~6800 mAh (and vice versa, when I notice a lower full capacity estimate, the SOH is certainly somewhere below 100%) ?
