TPS65987D: PDO setting

Hello team,

My customer would like to set this device to sink 20V/5A (100W) only.
Would it be possible to teach me the setting on the GUI to achieve the settings below.

  1. When PD3.1 AC adaptor (Source) is connected, limit the output of TPS65987D to PD3.0 (20V/5A=100W).
  2. When any AC adaptor below 100W is connected, TPS65987D would not output any power

I am assuming just add sink PDO of 20V/5A would be sufficient. Is this correct?

    Hi Kei, 

    Thank you for reaching out!

    1. In Transmit Sink Capabilities (0x33), Sink PDO1 is set to 5V for the Type-C implicit contract. Sink PDO2 can be set to 20V/5A for your application.

    2. This would need to be configured in Autonegotiate Sink (0x37) Power Settings. Disable Auto Compute Sink Min Power and manually enter the minimum required power.
