Dear Team,

Good day to all!!!

We are planning to use TUSB1044IRNQT in our design to compensate the ISI losses of USB3.0 Gen 1 interface. Below are the queries,

1. Is TUSB1044 is backward compatible with USB3.0 Gen1 ?

2. Whether we can connect two USB3.0 Gen 1 interfaces with a single TUSB1044 device ?

Please use TUSB1004 to support two USB3.0 Gen 1 interfaces. The TUSB1004 supports both USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) and Gen1 (5Gbps) as well as USB 3.2 low power states (Disconnect, U1, U2, and U3). USB3.2 Gen 1 is the same as the USB3.0 Gen 1.

When you say two USB3.0 Gen 1 interfaces, I assume these are two separate USB devices. TUSB1044 is a re-driver that supports USB Type-C application has a single state machine in its design. For supporting two devices, TUSB1004 will be the solution since it has two separate state machine in its design.
