UC1843A: Considering VGS

Part Number: UC1843A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC1843

Tool/software:

Dear, Sir.

To design a step-up converter using the UC1843A and considering that the PWM controller's output switches at the VCC input level, the VGS voltage of the external FET must tolerate the input VCC voltage.

In this case, is there a way to use a FET with a lower VGS rating?

In the attached circuit diagram, the VCC voltage is 24V, and the output at the Out terminal is at least 13V.

However, the VGS of the applied FET is a maximum of 6V. Is there a solution to this problem?
