TUSB1044: P/N Swap compatibility

Hi, we are using TUSB 1044 for USB 3.2 gen 2 to DP (10gbps using all 4 lanes). Going through the specifications sheet, dont see any mention on its compatibility of P/N swap within a pair.

Can you please confirm if this is compatible of P/N Swap in both input and output end?

Hi,

While USB3 does support polarity swapping, DisplayPort does not. Make sure you do not swap P/N on the SuperSpeed lines when using the 1044 in a DP alt-mode application.

Hi Dipen,

I believe I have misunderstood your implementation. If you are swapping P/N before the TUSB1044 and also swapping P/N after the TUSB1044, then this is ok. The key is to have P/N be consistent at the input and the output of your system.

You can not swap only once as DisplayPort doesn't support polarity swapping. My apologies for the confusion.
