BQ25750: Input And Output Capacitors when not using reverse mode

Part Number: BQ25750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25756, BQ25758

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have read the following advice

[FAQ] BQ25756: Input And Output Capacitors
https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1357455/faq-bq25756-input-and-output-capacitors

I have a question about this article.
Is 80uF available if I don't use reverse mode?

As background to my question, I searched for "transient response" in the following DATASHEET sites, and all of them were in the reverse mode description.

  • Hello Tamura,

The charger needs a minimum of 80µF on both sides to make sure the converter is stable.

Thanks for letting me know about transient response question. The forward transient response only applies to the BQ25758 which is a DC-DC converter. I'll add that into the FAQ.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best Regards,
