With reference to the subject part number - ALDTR0009988241 > MPN # LM2990SX-5.0/NOPB

We want to cut middle pin to use of this device, kindly confirm is there any risk due to cutting of middle pin.

Refer below snap for details. Pin will cut in closed controlled manner.

Hello Dipak,

I didn't see any image pasted. I assume you mean pin 2. In general, the warranty will become voided once the pin is cut. However, assuming nothing internal to the device is affected by the cut, the device should still be able to make a connection to VIN via the tab.

Hello Dipak,

Depending on how it's cut, the internal leadframe can be adversely affected. Assuming the internal leadframe is not affected after the cut, then you should still maintain the electrical connection to VIN via the tab.
