Hi,

I have a battery in CF. I try to delete it but impossible.

I have done a lot of charge/discharge cycles.

0% -> 100% -> 0% always wait for rest

100% -> 55% -> 100% related with https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/930755/bq40z80-qmax-not-updating-in-field-after-seemingly-valid-rest-cycle

I charge and discharge with I = 1A = C/5

Can you help me ?

Hello,

Would it be possible to receive the full bqStudio log file depicting this situation and .gg file of the gauge settings? The log file attached in that link only has a few of the measured values from the gauge. The bqStudio log file will allow us to look into the registers of the gauge to help determine a root cause.

Hi Sebastien,

Thank you for sending the .gg file. If possible, can you please send us a log file depicting the current charge/discharge cycle that is not providing a Qmax update? This will give us more insight into why this is not occurring.

Typically, to force a qmax we recommend discharge to empty -> relax 5hr -> charge to full (C/2) -> relax 2 hr -> discharge to empty (C/5) -> relax 5hr.

Above, when you are doing the 100% -> 55% -> 100% cycle, this could potentially be putting the voltage in the flat zone, which would invalidate the Qmax Update.
