TPS25730: Enabling buck converters (TPS565201 and TPS563201) when VBUS power is good

Part Number: TPS25730
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS565201, TPS563201,

Tool/software:

I need to update the design for a device that requires 15V at 20W:

  • The design currently uses the NRND AP3371 to negotiate PD 15V at 20W
  • POWEN (AP3371 pin23) is connected to EN of two buck converters (TPS565201 pin5 and TPS563201 pin5)
  • power from VBUS does not connect to any other circuits

I am considering switching to TI for this part (as I have done with most other parts).   I have two questions:

  1. Can you recommend which output from the TPS25730 I should use to control the buck converter?
  2. Is there a different simple TI part for USB sink PD in TSSOP or similar package?  CH224K-style package has advantages for me.
