Hi,

Could you please tell me what reference for the DS320PR410-RSC-EVM original manufacturer has for adjusting the EQ/FG parameters of the redriver (ex, eye diagram? Or compatibility)?
In other words, how to judge whether the adjusted parameters are okay?

Based on PCIe specifications, we need 34mV eye height and 0.3UI eye opening.

What does the 34mV mentioned by the TI engineer refer to? Is it also based on the PCIe CEM specification?
Since eye diagrams cover Gen1 to Gen5, you mentioned an eye high of 34mV and a 0.3UI eye opening, does it need to be achieved for each pattern?
Devices before Gen4 typically test the eye in the TX direction. Is this the same for Gen5 as well?"

Hi Jeff,

1). This is based on PCIe spec.

2). PCIe has a compliance pattern. Using this pattern, we need to achieve this type of eye opening.

3). Yes. Gen5 and lower data rates sys diagram is checked in TX direction per PCIe recommendations.
