ULN2003A: ULN2003 in analog audio circuit

Hello,

I've been using ULN2003ADR combined with MCU for digital applications and I wanted to know how well it could perform in an analog circuitry as the one below (hard clipping distortion effect).
I'd like to switch between several set of diodes (depending on diode voltage drop, distortion color is different) without using a switch or a signal relay.
The idea is to connect to ground the diode set I want to use and let the other ones deactivated.

How well would the ULN2003ADR perform in this scenario and could there be any noise coming from MCU injecting in the audio signal ?

We don't have any specific test cases for this sort of applications- the majority of applications for these sorts of sockets are usually DC steady state without any noise. As it hasn't been tested I cannot say for sure if it would work or not work- but there is no intelligence in the device that would actually prevent it from working as this device is essentially the same functionality as a BJT.

Do you have by chance an alternative using another TI chip that would better suit this application ?

Power is asymetric 0-9VDC and audio signal is max peak-to-peak 7V without DC offset.
I took a look at the CD405X series but seems like those require symetrical power to switch AC signal without DC offset.

I would recommend reaching out to the analog switch/multiplexer group at the following forum:

... and let them know what the specific requirements are. If there is a device in their portfolio, they would be able to speak better to it.
