BQ24297: Charging IC BQ24297

Part Number: BQ24297

Tool/software:

During testing of our product we found that some time we get charging fault and battery fault while reading register of charging IC BQ24297.
For charging fault there is detailed description in the register map but for battery fault there is no detailed available in datasheet.
Can you please share the relevant document for that we can get detailed regarding battery fault or suggest if you have any details for the same.

    Thank you for reaching out via E2E. 

    For further details on the battery fault condition (REG09[3]) please refer to BQ24297 datasheet section 9.3.5.5.1 'Battery Over-Voltage Protection' on page 30. 

    BAT_FAULT = 1 indicates a battery over voltage condition has been detected by the charger IC.
