Tool/software:
The requirements is the input voltage is 10V~15V and the output voltage is 12V, so TPS61175 should be configured in SEPIC topology. The schematic is as belows:
I use DC regulated power supply as the input voltage of 61175. The output voltage of 61175 is correct(+12V) with empty load whatever input voltage is 10V or 15V.
Then the load is connected to the output of 61175, something wrong happend:
The power supply is set to 10V as the input of 61175, the output voltage is fallen to about 6.5V immediately when the load is connected.
Then power supply is set to 15V, the output of 61175 is +12V when the load is connected, but after 10 seconds, the output is fallen to 6.5V again.
The load is an industrial computer which power is +12V ±5%.
Then I use DC regulated power supply whitch is set to +12V as the power supply of the industrial computer and the computer can startup correctly.
And I find out that the input current of the computer is changed during the period of startup, from 700mA to 1.5A, and it is the time that the current is 1.5A just about 10 seconds after the computer is turned on.
The question is DOES TPS61175 suited for the application that I mentioned above?
Or how to change the circuit to solve the problems?
Thank you!!!
