LM3409-Q1: DLP buck LED driver recommendation

Part Number: LM3409-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello team,

Customers need to design a BUCK LED driver in DLP lighting applications, now the output requirements is 6.2A@3.3V, considering the current is higher than LM3409-Q1 capability, so do you have other better solutions?

Besides, is it possible to keep two 3409 in parallel to achieve higher current output?

Thanks.

  • Hello Daniel,

Yes, you can parallel constant current buck sources.  You need to give us a full list of design parameters in order for us to give you an accurate recommendation.  Also let us know more about the business case and application.  We would want to know if they would want either a analog or digital solution and know more about the system.  Is this somehow related to automotive application?
