Hi,
Our experts will give you a feedback late.
Yes Steven Li..
please tell me the switching behavior of TPS922055.. and the purpose of that switching frequency in TPS922055
Does that switching frequency is for Buck converter used in it or for some other purpose ?
Regards,
Tex
Hi Tex,
Does that switching frequency is for Buck converter used in it or for some other purpose ?
You are correct.
TPS922055 is a Buck LED driver. Unlike constant-voltage DC/DC Buck regulators which you may be familiar with, TPS922055 is a constant-current Buck regulator if you use it to drive LED(s).

Will it generate noise ?
Can i use multiple ICs with different switching frequencies connected to single MCU ?(all ICs will be connected to controller through PWM pin)will it affect the system ?

Hi Tex,
Like normal switching regulator, TPS922055 will generate switching noise.

Yes, you can use a single MCU to control multiple TPS922055 with different switching frequency. Separate the AGND and PGND is one of the methods to prevent the switching noise from affecting your MCU. You can refer to this E2E FAQ - [FAQ] How can I separate the GND when doing layout for TPS922055 / TPS922054 / TPS922053 / TPS922052 in VSON or SOT-23-THN package? - Power management forum - Power management - TI E2E support forums.

Hi Steven,
I found TPS92630-Q1 Linear LED driver IC which meets all of my requirements..
i would like to go with this to avoid that switching frequency concept..
please resolve some doubts on TPS92630-Q1..
Also please let me know why is that voltage divider used for VSNS.. i'm unable to see how to set those VSNS voltage divider resistors in the Datasheet..
Apologies for my poor english,
Thanks and regards,
Tex
