TLC6946: High temperature environments

For TLC6946, it can work correctly when the 150℃. for lifetime, that's mainly related with the work condition. does the condition temperature is keeping 85℃ or sometimes up to 85℃ ?

I'm assuming high temperatures in the summer, in a car, or outdoors.

TLC6946 can work normally in 10 years all the time(10 * 365 * 24 hour) and under 105℃.  

so for real application, it will not work all day. for example, the outdoor screen works 16 hours per day, so it can works 15 years under 105℃ which can meet you request.

Yes.

105℃ is the Tj(Junction temperature) and 10 years lifetime is the continuous operation at 105℃ of IC.

The data sheet states that the device can be used up to a Tj of 125°C, but does that mean that the maximum reliability for 10 years of continuous operation is 105°C?
Will the reliability period be shortened if the device is used at 125°C?

Hi Hirotsugu,

Our device can support up to Tj of 125°C but we are considering the common application condition of LED Driver. In the real application condition the device will not working under full power all the time.

that means under 10 years of continuous operation at 105℃, our device can work normally. that is the common simulation condition of TI.
