BQ76942: Cell OVP/UVP protection

Tool/software:

The customer said the Cell OVP/UVP will consume much time in their production line.

1. So the they want to know whether they could only test hardware OV/UV function for the first cell? Not all the cells.

2. When ADC is sampling TS/GPIO, whether the OV/UV comparator is still working? It seems that there is no MUX for the cell voltage monitoring?

When ADC is sampling VC1, whether VC10 OV/UV comparator is still working?

    That's up to them to decide if it is sufficient to only test one cell.

    Keep in mind that the detection delay can be as low as 10ms:

    When ADC is sampling TS/GPIO, whether the OV/UV comparator is still working? It seems that there is no MUX for the cell voltage monitoring?

    The comparator runs on a separate mux from the ADCs that runs much faster and can detect an OV/UV on any cell within as little as 10ms.
