BQ76952: How to check if the AFE already OTP?

Part Number: BQ76952

Tool/software:

Hi Ti Experts,

We use the TI bq7695202 AFE.

We follow the document to test OTP commands, and the result is successful.

We would like to use OTP in the production line, but how do we know if the AFE is already OTP or not?

Does any register to check if the AFE is already OTP?

How to know the number of OTPs remaining in the AFE?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

To check if the part has been OTP you can compare the settings to the default settings.

As for the number of OTPs remaining, we do support any indication of this.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Thomas

To check if the part has been OTP you can compare the settings to the default settings.

    It's ok.

"As for the number of OTPs remaining, we do support any indication of this."

According to the TRM, TI bq76952 supports 8 signatures for partial OTP writing.

May I know what command or register can read or check the number of OTPs remaining?

The bit3 "No_Data" of the (0x00A0) OTP_WR_CHECK() command just describes "Could not program data" but we do not know the number of OTPs remaining.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ethan,

We do not support any indication of how many OPTs are remaining. This will be something you need to keep track of.

    Best regards,
