TPS61040: Design Update failure on Webench Power designer

Hi,

I'm planning to use TPS61040DBVR for below requirement

VIn= 4.8V

Vout=7V

Iout=100 mA

But webench power designer is not allowing me to change the current more than 70mA. It is showing erros as design failed to updated even though TPS61040DBVR supports Vout upto 28V & 400 mA .

Hi Yogesh,

The 400mA is the typical MOSFET current limit (peak inductor current), not the output current.

With your input conditions of 3V Vin min to 7V Vout, and using the minimal MOSFET current limit 350mA, the calculated max Iout is around 70mA.

If available, could you share the detailed application and requirement? Such as Vin range, Vout(7V?), max Iout, and package? I'll select more suitable devices for you.

Hi Lei,

Please find my requirement as below:

VIn= 4.8V

Vout=7V

Ioutmax=100 mA

Iout(typ) =50 mA

Hi Yogesh,

TLV61046A or TLV61048 should be the good choices.

Please check whether they are OK in your application. Just let me know if you have any other requirements.
