TPS1HTC100-Q1: Reverse Polarity Protection

Hello,

TPS12130-Q1 supports “Reverse Polarity Protection” and is tolerant to reverse polarity voltages down to -40 V both on input and on the output.
However, looking at TPS1HTC100-Q1 datasheet, it does not have the word “Reverse Polarity Protection” at all. TPS1HTC100-Q1 does not support “Reverse Polarity Protection”? Or “Reverse battery protection” is the same function as “Reverse Polarity Protection” at TPS1HTC100-Q1? If yes, down to how much voltage the TPS1HTC100-Q1 is tolerant to reverse polarity?

    Hi Hirano-san,

    TPS1HTC100-Q1 needs to have one of the two external setups listed in Section 7.3.4.5 in order to have reverse polarity protection. Yes, reverse battery protection is the same thing here.

    As per the Abs Max Conditions, VOUT can handle -60V and the VS voltage is limited by the ground resistor-diode network current (-50mA max capability).
