with the bq40z50-R4 FW, TI has added the support to extend the temperature monitor with TMP468

can we check if there is reference schematic to show the connections between the bq40z50 and the TMP468, and how these 2 can work together?

I do not believe there is a specific reference design with the parts in use together, however the EVM schematics should at least offer their individual schematics:
