TLV755P: EN Input Questions

Part Number: TLV755P

Tool/software:

Hello.

I've configured it as the circuit below.
Control the EN signal using SW for the 5V input signal.
However, in some cases, the OUT operates in the EN OFF state. When the voltage is measured, approximately 0.4V is measured at the EN.

Do I need to put a GND signal when I configure a separate pull-down circuit and it doesn't work?

I ask for your advice.

  • Hi JP Park,

    Thanks for your question.

From the Electrical characteristics table of the datasheet, for the device to be guaranteed to be turned off, Ven should be less than or equal to 0.3V (Ven<=0.3V).

So for the connection for switch, in the OFF position, you will need to connect it to GND, such that while in off state Ven=0, and thus the device is guaranteed to be turned off.

If you don't connect it to GND, the Voltage on EN pin will be ambiguous, and thus the device may not turn off as intended.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Regards,

    Bobby
