TPS61194: LED Short/Fault question

Part Number: TPS61194

Tool/software:

The data sheet for the TPS61194 shows the following:

When the VDDIO/EN signal is set to about 2 to 20us L and then returned to H, the fault signal is restored.
Also, if the condition for detecting LED short state continues as it is, will fault fall to L again?
(Is there an interval before redetection?)

I am concerned that if the short-circuit condition continues, if the EN signal is restored, the fault will fall again, and the EN signal will fall, then the EN signal will fall, and then the EN signal will return.

  • Hi Taku,

If the fault exists continuously, the FAULT will be kept low.

What do you mean of the "if the EN signal is restored, the fault will fall again, and the EN signal will fall, then the EN signal will fall, and then the EN signal will return."? The EN will not be pulled low because of the FAULT low.

    BR
