TPS65235: Questions about test VCP pin short to GND test.

Tool/software:

Previously, shorting the VCP and GND of TPS65233 caused the ic to burnt.
At that time, TI guided the addition of diode to VCP as attached file.
I'm going to use TPS65235 this time.
Do I need to add a diode to prevent bunting for this as well?

Thanks for reaching out. Just like learn more background, could you pls share me customer, EE? Do you have discussion history like email chain to share me more details about above case? And why customer need to short VCP to GND? (VCP: Gate drive supply voltage, output of charge pump, connect a capacitor between this pin to pin VLNB.) Do they have a requirement for pin FMEA?
