Hi,

I have a battery that has 6 wires

  1. one pair for battery power
  2. one pair for charging
  3. one pair for a switch to turn ON/OFF battery

Now the problem is that if i connect charging wires with the EVM BAT+ and Pack- then power control switch don't work.
The supplier recommended me that do not connect charging wires with the power wires.

I tested other functions like monitoring charging , discharging. Everything works. I am only confused about wiring connection of charger
Can anyone help me with it plz?

    Hi,

    If you leave the charger wire disconnected from the gauge, can the gauge still accurately report charge and discharge current, voltage, and temperature?

    Does the battery pack have integrated protection?

    I didn't test that part.
    I tested discharge without charging wires connected and it work fine but to charge the battery, i had to connect charger wires with the board and then it read charging accurately. I am not sure if gauge will monitor it without charger wires or not.

    Can gauge measure the charge and discharge with only power wires of the batteries?

    Hi,

    I am unsure, I have not seen this battery setup before, I would think probably not though.

    However, I recommend testing first to verify. If the gauge accurately reports voltage and charge current it is ok.
