Hello!
We need to obtain 3.3V from a 1S1P Li-Ion battery pack, using a BQ25798 as charger.
The problem is that when the battery is not connected and the input VAC1 is over 12V, there is a chance of having more than 5.5V in the VSYS output, which is the maximum input voltage of the TPS63020-Q1 we were planning to use.
So, we were looking for a BuckBoost converter with the following specs. We couldn't find any in the TI portfolio, but we must be missing something, can you help us with our search?
- AEC-Q100 compliant
- Non inverting buckboost with integrated switches
- Output current up to 200mA (average 100mA, 10mA in standby mode)
- Output voltage 3.3V fixed (internally or externally)
- Input voltage from 2.5 to 10V
- Efficiency over 85% @100mA
- Switching frequency over 200KHz (better if over 1.5MHz)
- small SMD package
Question 2: It looks that Vin = 7V hits some kind of technological threshold. We can find many devices with low output current and Vin < 7V (as the TPS63020), but when Vin is over 7V it seems that there are no devices with low output current available.
Is there really any technological issue for having low current converters with Vin > 7V?
Thanks in advance!
