TPSM82816: About the pull-up resistor of the PG pin of TPSM82816

Part Number: TPSM82816

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists,

I am using a TPSM82816 on a custom board.
The PG pin is pulled up to 5V and controls the EN of other ICs.

However, I mistakenly connected a resistor of several ohms to the PG pin's pull-up resistor.

In this case, I am worried that a current greater than the rated value will flow into the TPSM82816 when PG is not open.

The maximum rating on the data sheet states that the maximum value of Isink_pg (P-Good terminal input current) is 10mA.
If the pull-up resistance value is a few ohms, a sink current of about 1A will flow to the P-Good terminal,
which is likely to cause internal damage to the P-Good terminal.
So we need to confirm what state it will be in if it fails.
- If it does break down, what kind of failure mode will it be? Is it an open failure, or is there a short failure with GND?
- If the inside of the P-Good terminal is damaged, will a situation arise in which the power supply output VOUT will no longer be output?

I would appreciate it if you could confirm this.

Thank you in advance.
