LM5025C: Questions about controlled source combinations in Spice models?

In some unencrypted Spice models downloaded from the TI website, controlled source combinations were found. As shown in the figure, the input voltage VCCINT is logically judged in the box on the right side of the figure, and the final output VCCUV is produced, in which UV4, UV6, UV2 three intermediate variables are generated. However, the logic simulation shows that the logical relationship between VCCINT and VCCUV can be realized by using a controlled source on the left side of the figure. The correlation truth table is shown in the figure.

Why is this combination of controlled sources needed for modeling, and what problems do you need to solve? Thank you for your attention to my question.

Hi,

What do you mean by "in some..."? please specify a part number associated model. We do not have a general idea why and why not - we need to know which device and model you are referring and "some" makes us go nowhere to support.

Hi,

If this is a way to work and you think other ways can work, I would say you can use either way unless you see this way has problems from your evaluation. It looks the effort is to make control to follow the table to duplicate the IC real operation. This portion can also help to make sure the logic to follow this in case the logic is changed by users for their need.

The PSpice for TI does not work at now. I will have a look when it is resumed if you have further questions.

Hi,

No, in general, a model does not have a user's guide, as the model is just to help the IC evaluation.
