Hi Team,

in the datasheet C_out recommend placing a 470uF Cap, since the PCB space is limit, can 22uF MLCC be placed?

    Hi Jason,

    Yes, 470uF cap is not necessary. It is shown as an example for the typical application. Based on customer application, they can decide to use smaller cap. Customer should evaluate for their application; they are not seeing transients which can violate the absolute maximum or minimum of the device or next stage is not demanding very high inrush current which could result in vout drop if not sufficient caps are present.
