BQ25750: Is it possible to design VREF_ACUV_HYS and VREF_ACOV_HYS?

Part Number: BQ25750

Tool/software:

Hi,

VREF_ACUV_HYS and VREF_ACOV_HYS are specified as typical 50mV in DATASHEET.
Is it possible to design them in some way?

Is it possible to do so by manipulating I2C registers?

Best Regards,
Tamura Go

  • Hello Tamura,

It is not possible to adjust the hysteresis settings.

You can adjust VAC_DPM with registers though. ACUV and ACOV can be adjusted with resistors.

  •  Hi Ethan,

Thank you for your answer, I understand that VREF_ACUV_HYS and VREF_ACOV_HYS are not adjustable.

Then I would like to statistically calculate the combined ACUV and ACOV values that determine the VAC Operating Window, taking into account the tolerance of the resistors and the temperature characteristics.
I would like to know the tolerance sigma(σ) of “VREF_ACUV” and “VREF_ACOV,” but I assume that you cannot answer this question.
If you could answer the following two questions instead, we would be happy to make an estimation.

QUESTION-1: For “VREF_ACUV” and “VREF_ACOV”, is there any trimming inside the IC?
QUESTION-2: Regarding “VREF_ACUV” and “VREF_ACOV”, are they controlled by statistical method instead of 100% inspection in the mass production process?

  • Hello Tamura,

I can't go into too much detail on these factors. Let me look into this and I'll get back to you next week.

  • Hello Tamura,

Thanks for being patient with this answer. I can't go into detail on the IC trimming.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
