Hi All,
I'm having some trouble achieving a successful learning cycle on my battery in bqEASY with the bq27500-v130. I've probably run the thing a half a dozen times so far, and every time it fails with the "UpdateStatus does NOT = 2" error message.
I've been through all of the app notes (as near as I can tell) to try and diagnose my problem, and I always seem to find one little thing to do differently, but nothing results in a successful cycle. Hopefully someone on these forums can offer some insight.
I'm using a 2000mAh battery from Rose Electronics (though its datasheet says Batteries and Power Solutions). I ran the chemistry cycling using the EVM (I needed to remove the protection circuit from the battery for this) and got a result which said "The best match is chemistry code 0123 with an error of 0.7577479%. TI recommends that chemistry files should match within 3%." That looked good, so I moved on to the learning cycle.
I also used the EVM for the learning cycle - I made sure to calibrate the board first in bqEASY, then I closed the calibration screen with the X in the top right. I've got a relay connected to the EV2300 to do the automated discharge steps. I logged my dataRAM and Data Flash; I have attached my dataRAM log file (Flash files would be impractical to attach, as there are 486 of them).
Does anyone have any ideas? Common problems? I've been through app notes SLUA597 and SLUA544, and I don't think I see any of the common problems they suggest.
Thanks in advance!
